Southern Brand :: Guide to Good Livin'

I'm a displaced Californian, living in North Carolina. It wasn't until I married my husband that I really began to understand the pride of Southern life. My inherited family thrives on hard work ethics, simple living, and of course, sweet tea. My husband and I work hard to provide the best life for our kids, but at the same time teach them that we work hard for all that we have.

I have grown to love my Southern life, and am so very thankful that my kids are able to grow up on 10 acres of country land, with nothing but trees, dirt, and wildlife. It's a huge contrast from my city life that I grew up on, but I love it.

That's why I was so thrilled when I came across a company that represents all of the great groundwork that makes southern living so wonderful! Southern Brand is a guide to good livin'--food, music, film, books, travelin’ and just good ol’ southern culture and Americana. It’s life through amber-tinted glasses. The sweet, smokey taste of some real pit BBQ. The steely sound of a beer-bottle slide. The rumble of an old pick-up truck down a muddy, dirt road. It’s sittin’ on the front porch sippin’ ice & bourbon, spittin’ watermelon seeds and pickin’ the blues.

Southern Brand carries a line of very cute tees & onesies, perfect for a child being raised on good ol' southern ethics, which is why I was so happy to see Logan in his "Peace & Elbow Grease" vintage tee! This tee pretty much sums up our family in a few words: we work hard for what we have, and we don't have time for anything other than positive, peaceful thinking. I love his tee & of course so does the rest of the state of North Carolina! (especially the in-laws.)

My husband, being the southerner he is, loves this company too, and has built his Christmas wish list around their Southern Man tees, and cowhide koozies. Also, he cannot get enough of the southern culture blog!
