Crane Humidifiers :: Review + Giveaway!

There is nothing more pitiful than a sick baby. I should know. With three little ones under five, I've seen more than my fair share of common colds, and worse. When my daughter was a mere 2 months old she was diagnosed with both RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) & the flu... at the same time. Along with her breathing treatments, hospital tests, and doctor check ups, I was told to keep a humidifier running around her. Thankfully, within a few weeks she was back to her normal healthy newborn self. Those were certainly the scariest, most sleepless days of my life!

I have since always opted to run a humidifier in my kids' room at night. Not only is it highly recommended by pediatricians to help keep moisture in the air, allowing for better breathing, it also helps to fight the spread of the flu. The flu virus has been proven to spread faster in dry environments, which means it's spreading more during the winter months when the heater is on.

Being the design lover I am, I was thrilled to come across Crane's collection of children's cool mist humidifiers! A humidifier is a must in my kids' rooms, but now they can look as cool and fun as the rest of their decor! Seriously, these are way too cute not to love...

Logan has been testing out the penguin design in his room, and I couldn't be happier with it! First of all, it's incredibly easy to fill. The head piece pops off, and I set that aside. Then I pull off the top (where the water is held), unscrew the bottom cap, fill the tank with water, re-screw, place the tank back on the unit, put the top back on, turn it on, and adjust the flow to my liking. Like I said, incredibly easy!

It works great, keeps Logan's room from becoming dry, and looks so adorable! Plus it runs so quietly I forget it's even on! Not convinced yet? Might I add that these humidifiers are low power consumption designs, and automatically turn off when they run out of water? This mama is very impressed!

I also have my eye on these traditional ultrasonic cool mist humidifiers. I love the tear drop style, very modern, and perfect for the master bedroom or living room! (We all deserve to breathe well this winter season!)
