Piggy Paint: Review + Giveaway! [CLOSED]

I try to raise my family as green as possible. I use eco-friendly cleaning products, dress my kids in organic clothing, and practice energy conservation methods in our home. With that being said, it's no wonder why I have never purchased nail polish for Katie. Though I do think painted piggies are absolutely the cutest thing in the world, I wouldn't dare put those toxic chemicals on my little girl! However, I was recently introduced to a new line of eco-friendly nail polish called Piggy Paint! Made from water & other natural ingredients, Piggy Paint is non-toxic, odorless, & free of any harsh chemicals!

When my sample arrived from Piggy Paint, I couldn't wait to test it out on Katie! The first thing that I noticed about Piggy Paint is that there really is NO smell whatsoever emitted during use. Even with the bottle open, there were no fumes. I painted Katie's nails, then my own, and still there was no scent! (I love it when a product actually lives up to it's advertisements!)

Although the directions said to use a blow dryer to help speed up the drying process, I found that the paint dried pretty quickly on it's own. By the time I was finishing up Katie's second hand, her first hand was dry. However, this could be due to the light coat of paint I put on her, or the fact that it took me nearly five minutes to completely one hand! (Yes, painting a toddler's finger nails is quite a task!) I also want to mention that though I only used one light coat of paint on Katie, the color was still quite vibrant! If we had done the 2-3 coats that the directions suggested, I'm sure it would have simply been that much more vibrant!

We were also sent the Piggy Paint Nail Polish Remover, which is also eco-friendly! It is made from all natural ingredients, like the polish, and is even biodegradable! It works quickly & is safe for cleaning paint off even the smallest of piggies!

Katie really enjoyed having her nails painted & I enjoyed the bonding time with her. I definitely recommend Piggy Paint to any one with little piggies that desire some color!
